Learning resources from FIRST UK, is aligned to the national GCSE curriculum and developed by educators, industry and young people


Our education team is busy co-creating educational content and resources with industry, teachers and young people – we’ll be launching the full syllabus in the summer of 2019 but here’s a snapshot of what to expect:

Curriculum mapping

Beautifully crafted easy to digest maps signposting how FIRST® Tech Challenge integrates to GCSE Computer Science, Design and Technology, and other curriculum points - facilitating in timetable or extra curricular delivery.


Young people participating in FIRST® Tech Challenge will be eligible to receive Industrial Cadets accreditation at a Silver or Gold level we will be releasing details of this in the summer.

Gatsby benchmarking

FIRST® Tech Challenge aligns inherently to the Gatsby Benchmarks ensuring schools and educators can evidence clear progress against benchmarks four to seven.

Collaboration Platform

Educational content is hosted on our Moodle collaboration platform providing access to:

  • Pre-season training module – including a confidence builder task
  • Integrated online syllabus – how to guides, presentations and videos
  • Technical support – 9 to 5 from FIRST® UK HQ
  • Peer to peer forums – team buddy system
  • Webinars – by veteran teams
