We rely heavily upon industry professionals to act as role models to young people. Mentors work with teams on an occasional basis (2-4 hours per month) providing invaluable coaching, stewardship, and leadership.
We live in a busy world (work, family, Love Island) - not everyone can devote regular time - but many can offer ad hoc support. Volunteers provide critical on the day staffing at our regional and national events.
"Word-of-mouth marketing is the best form of free promotion" (excepting perhaps late night tweets, after a few hamburgers). Our ambassadors come in all forms - parents, governors, teachers, community leaders, corporate partners - sharing a desire to advocate for better STEM learning and career opportunities for young people.
